13th, 2025 at 61 years old.
Steve went to Western High School class of 1982. He entered the US army in 1983 and dedicated three years in service to his country as a soldier in the 1st Calvary Division. After his
time of service he worked at Orr Safety, Zoeller Pump Company, and Reynolds Aluminum
Company before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, playing the
drums, and enjoying a cold beer. Those who knew Steve will remember him for being the life of
the party and a friend to all. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a
lasting impact on those who crossed his path.
One of Steve’s greatest prides was in his daughter, Stephanie. He was incredibly proud of her
strength and achievements both professionally and in life. He always looked forward to watching
Kansas City Chiefs football together on Sundays, a great love they shared.
Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Nancy Meisenhelder, and
his brother Andy Skaggs. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Becker (Ryan), Sisters
Debbie Brown (Melvin), Sonya Kleier (Marty); Niece and Nephew Jamie Seay (Jeremy), and
Chris Brown (Carlie); and great nephews Jayden and Jaykob Seay, and Harrison Brown.
Visitation hours will be 1:30pm-8pm on Thursday, June 19th at Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 11am on Friday, June 20th at Evergreen Funeral Home.
