Stuart Pryse

Pryse, Stuart Wayne Sr., 72, unexpectedly departed this world on September 21st as his granddaughter Kathleen rallied by his side. He was born August 11, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Valley High School and in 1965 married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Ann Cox. He completed his college degree later in life while working full time and raising his family. Stuart was an avid reader, country music lover, U of L fan, Jack Daniels enthusiast, devout Episcopalian and one of the last of a dying generation of true gentlemen. He was devoted to his wife of 51 years, Peggy and his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Peggy, son Stuart Wayne Pryse, Jr. (Jackie), daughter Paige Simms (Jerry), granddaughters Samantha, Kathleen, Brook (Caleb), Kassi and great grandson, Caleb. He is also survived by his sisters Pam Pryse and Martha Grinstead (Billy) and nephew and niece Nick and Jenni Grinstead as well as multitude of friends with fond memories. He has joined his parents, Gene and Kathryn, beloved canines Caesar and Ike as well as other dear friends in the eternal kingdom of God. Stuart's spirit will live on through his survivors as they keep his memory alive.The family is grateful to the emergency responders, trauma team and chaplain at University Hospital. Visitation will be at Arch L Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville KY 40218 on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. Church service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 4700 Lowe Road Louisville, KY, 40220 on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2 p.m.
