Sue Ann Lewis

Sue Ann Lewis, age 79, passed away on September 14, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1947, to Paul and Mary Smith, in Louisville, Kentucky. Sue was a faithful and devoted member of Fern Creek Christian Church and was very active in the church. She loved to travel, even having been on a bucket-list trip of a lifetime to Jerusalem. Sue enjoyed playing lots of different games with her family, her favorite being RummiKub, driving fast cars, and being with her husband, Larry. Within the last year Larry has also passed, and we can be comforted that she is reunited with him once again. Sue had such a loving personality, and she will be missed so dearly.

Along with her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 24 years, Larry D. Lewis, Sr.; her former husband, Irvin “Monte” Blakely; her sister, Belinda Yeager; her brother Joseph Whelan and his wife, Nancy Whelan; her sister-in-law, Deanna Smith; and her brother-in-law, Nolan Alderman.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris Blakely and his wife Beth; her granddaughter, Emma Grace and her partner Marley Yopp; her brother, Paul L. Smith; her sister, Linda Alderman; as well as many other cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life in Sue’s honor will be announced by the family at a later date.

Sue Ann Lewis will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky alongside her beloved husband, Larry.
