Susan Kitchen Greenwell, age 56, passed away March 10, 2013 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. Mrs. Greenwell was the former Susan Kitchen of Henderson, Kentucky. She was a 1979 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and spent the majority of her nursing career in adult oncology nursing. She and her family were members of Holy Trinity Parish, where she served the Church in many capacities.
Susan was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jesse and Aileen Kitchen and her much loved sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Whitehouse. She is survived by her beloved family, including her husband, Michael Greenwell, M.D., her children, Brett, Meredith and Neil, her brother, Robert H. Kitchen, and her nephew, Michael Whitehouse, as well as many other family and dear friends.
Her Christian Rite of Burial will be held at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, located at 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, March 16 at 10 am, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15 from 3 pm to 8 pm.
