Sylvia Marie Gonzalez, 83 of Louisville, passed away on February 27, 2018. She was a retired secretary for the Presbyterian Church USA and a Kentucky Colonel. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents: Jose and Marcelina Matos, a brother: Porfirio Matos and a sister: Alicia Matos. She is survived by her children: Marina Gonzalez (Chris) and Alisa Moran, was Nana to her grandchildren: Kieran Story and Mikyla Calbert, siblings: Louis Matos, Henry Matos and Gladys Salazar. She is also survived by her loyal friend and cat, Grace. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. A funeral service to celebrate Sylvia’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.
