Sylvia was born on March 15, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Raymond Alexander Shaw and Pauline Reitz Shaw. She is also preceded in death by her son, Brian Keith Johnson.
She was a member of Shawnee Christian Church where she played the piano. Sylvia had a love for music and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left behind to cherish Sylvia's memory is her daughter, Karen Johnson; brother, Doug Shaw (Linda) and her granddaughter, Allie Padgett (William).
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40213, with a service to honor the life of Sylvia to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Sylvia will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
