Teresa "Terri" Ann Schneider

Teresa “Terri” Ann Schneider, age 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2026, at her home. Terri was born on July 16, 1961, in Louisville, KY, and graduated from Atherton High School. She married the love of her life, Keith Schneider, on May 11, 1985.

With a steady spirit and a gentle way of being, Terri moved through life with quiet strength, offering kindness that was felt most in the everyday moments. Her sense of adventure was reflected in the life she shared with Keith during his years of service as a Naval Officer from 1986 to 2010, meeting each season with grace, devotion, and an open heart.

Terri served her community through her work with the Jefferson County School System from 2003 to 2021 as a Nutrition Services Assistant at Westport Middle School. In that role, she brought care and warmth to those she served, and her thoughtful presence made a lasting difference. She was also a proud member of PFLAG, reflecting her commitment to compassion, dignity, and support for others.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Daisy Eckenfels; grandmother, Louise Eckenfels; and sister-in-law, Katrina Eckenfels.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Schneider; son, Cody Schneider; daughter, Emily Schneider; brothers, Bob Eckenfels, Jr., Tom Eckenfels (Debbi), and Joe Eckenfels, Sr. (Cindy); and sisters, Mary Ann Cash (Danny) and Kathy Eckenfels Savage.

Terri will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love—for her gentle nature, her kind heart, and the steady devotion she gave to her family, her work, and her community.

Funeral celebrating the life of Terri will be 10am, Friday, June 12, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218.Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm, Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven.
