Born to the late Curtis and Mary Nell Hammond, Terry is survived by his children Terri Lynn Hammond, Sara K. Hirst (Chad), Cristy Anne Hammond, and Robert C. Hammond; grandson Jaden C. Hirst; siblings Brenda S. Harrell (Bob), Beverly A. Stolarick (Keith), John C. Hammond (Toni); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Terry graduated from Suda E. Butler High School in 1977, working by his father’s side as a mechanic during. Afterwards he went on to work as a steelworker with Sypris Technologies Tube Turns. He will be eternally remembered as a caring and understanding father, papaw, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by anyone who was lucky enough to know him- and his legacy will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 1 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven from 12:00 – 2:00pm, with a funeral service in Terry’s honor beginning immediately at 2:00pm. Terry will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
