

Terry Wayne Hazelip, age 74, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. He was born on November 18th, 1950 to Glenn and Roxie Hazelip in Louisville, Kentucky. Terry was a life-long scholar, artist, and professor. He earned a PhD from the Maryland Institute of Art and specialized in abstract expressionism. Terry was a painterly painter and often drew influence from Pablo Picasso, his favorite artist. He was also a history buff, learning as much as he could about periods of time that sparked his interest, such as the American Revolution. Terry was a follower of Christ. He was baptized at and a regular member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville. He enjoyed working on and riding in Volkswagon cars with his son, Blaine. He loved camping, was frugal at times, and was a good and caring father. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Hazelip and Roxie Yeager Hazelip.
Left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Blaine Hazelip and Nydalyn Hazelip, and his beloved dog, Heidi.
A visitation for Terry will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday, August 7th, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm with a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Funeral Home.
