She was a former secretary at Valley Elementary, bookkeeper at Pleasure Ridge Park High School, and bus driver for JCPS. She was a member of Shively Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 374. She was also former co-owner of Rockford Roller Rink.
Tess was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Wig” Woosley, and siblings Vanna Elrod and Leonard Minton.
Survivors include her children Rick Woosley (Suzan), Michael “Mick” Woosley, and Darlene Walker (Jason); grandchildren, Stephanie Furnish, Todd Woosley, Shawn Woosley (Allison), Kristen Thomas (Warren), Jennifer Woosley, and Jenna Walker; 5 great-grandchildren;1great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday.
