Thelma Jean Heuser

Thelma Jean Heuser, 82, passed away on July 8, 2026 with her family by her side. Born July 22, 1943, Thelma was a devoted homemaker whose life was defined by her steadfast care for others and a deep love for her family. In many ways she quietly put the needs of those around her first, she will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Thelma was a past member of Incarnation Church. She also found simple joys in the pastimes she loved, especially bingo, and in the companionship of her dogs, Ikey and Bobo, who brought her comfort and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Paul Thomas Heuser; her parents, Raymond Crafton and Velma Harris Lynch; her sister, Pauline Schieber; her daughter-in-law, DeeDee Heuser; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tony Heuser, Mark Heuser, and Karen Wirth (Paul); her grandchild, Derek Heuser; her sister, Elfie Combs; and several nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, on July 14, 2026, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

A Committal Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
