Beard, Thomas Preston, Sr., 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1956, in Louisville, KY, to Arthur Beard and Amelia “Rose” Sapp Beard. He was a veteran of the Air Force.
Tom was a people’s person, always willing to help others before himself. He was an outdoorsman, who had a zest for life. He will be so greatly missed by so many.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah K. Beard; daughter, Tracey Beard; son, Thomas P Beard, Jr. (Brittany); grandchildren, Alexander and Isabella; father, Arthur W. Beard; siblings, Bill Beard (Shirley), Gary Beard (Jackie), and Cheryl Truax (Tim); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and loved ones.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Amelia “Rose” Sapp Beard.
A celebration of Tom’s life will take place on Friday, September 15th, at 6 PM, at the Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial visitation from 12 PM until 6 PM on Friday.
