

Thomas “Tony” Beckham, 66, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He was born June 13, 1948 to the late Howard and Agnes Beckham. He was a Marine Veteran in the Vietnam War and co-owned and operated Beckham’s Service Station in Hikes Point with his family. Tony attended school at St. Pius and Seneca High School, was a member of Ascension Catholic Church, Hikes Point Area Business Association, and Louisville Gasoline Dealers Association. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, boating and cruising.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Daniel “Danny” Beckham, a nephew, David Lee Frederick, two brother-in-laws, Rocky Abell and Frank Wilson Sr.
Tony is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Abell Beckham, two daughters, Elizabeth “Liz” Beckham Brown of Columbia, TN and Nancy Beckham Vann of Oklahoma City, OK, two granddaughters, Taylor Vann and Jaeya Mathis, siblings, Janice Filley (Richard), James Beckham (Alice), Nancy Frederick (David), Glenn Beckham (Terri), Karen Beckham, Chris Beckham (Brenda), Laura Beckham, Barbara Pontrich (Dave) and Donna Lindig (Kenny), a step-mother, Betty Matthews Beckham, sister and brother in laws, Jane Wilson, Cliff Abell (Betty), Sally Tyler (Dennis), Mary Chandler (Ed), Evy McKemie (Gordon), Dicky Abell (Paula), Johnny Abell, Bobbi Abell (Mitch) and Sally Beckham, 40 nieces and nephews, 52 great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, January 26, 2015, 11:00 am at Ascension Catholic Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
