Tim Lane crossed the river from his Earthly home into his Heavenly home with the love of his life Vickie by his side on April 22, 2021. Tim retired as Electrical Inspector at Naval Ordnance in Louisville, and he continued to serve the Lord and others through ministry at Ninth & O Baptist Church in Louisville. Tim was an Air Force Veteran and a Shriner.

Tim was preceded in his journey to eternity by his beloved son-in-law, Brian Sirles, aunt Tina Butler, and parents, Cecil & Opel Lane.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 32 years, Vickie Stidham Lane, daughter Michele Sirles (fiance, Jeff McCarty), son Todd Norris, grandsons Army Lt. Eric Sirles, Ethan Sirles, grandson Taylor Norris, great-grandson Jace Norris, and a host of other special friends and loved ones. Tim loved big and received those whom he loved as full-fledged family members, in the same way the Lord Jesus Christ loved and received him. His pride in his grandsons overflowed from his heart.

Visitation will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, April 29th at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway in Louisville, KY. The funeral will be the same day at 12 PM, with subsequent burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hosparus Health.
