Timothy "Tim" L. Muffler

Tim was born on March 7, 1951, to the late Bernard Sr. and Dolores Muffler in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tim served his country in the U.S. Navy for 6 years where he worked as a Nuclear Reactor Operator and Electronics Technician. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and went on to work for many years in the energy industry, giving him an opportunity to reside in eleven different states.

Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 21 years Penny Goodman, daughters Tiffany Stumler (David), Mendy Muffler, Jill Bender (Andy), Holly Humphries (John) and Kelsey Recktenwald, and grandchildren Dylan Humphries, Noah Stumler, Jacob Stumler, Berkley Humphries, Kylie Justiniano, Kaylee Stumler, Phoenix Lliorca, Gavin Bender and Kaia Bender. He is also survived by his brothers Bernie Muffler (Patsy) and Bill Muffler (Janet) and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Tim was known to his family and friends as a very kind man with a great sense of humor. He would laughingly proclaim, “I know I’m a funny man!” Truly, his family will tell you they felt that he was their rock.

He loved going to the movies and eating popcorn with his wife. Also, he and Penny loved spending time together working in the yard. He loved his dogs more than one could imagine. He also enjoyed constantly doing little home improvement projects; he had to stay busy. In his younger days he enjoyed adventurous outdoor activities such as skiing, boating, playing various sports and games with friends. More than anything though, he loved and cherished his family.

A memorial service to honor the life of Tim will be held:

• Friday, April 2nd - Visitation 4pm to 6pm, Service to follow at 6pm.
