VELMA JEAN MULLEN was born on May 4, 1934 in Louisville, KY to the union of the late George Lumpkin and Mattie Elizabeth Bennett. She departed this life Friday, September 8, 2017 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1976. She attended the Bethany Apostolic Church in Los Angeles, California.
She leaves to mourn her passing: two sons, Stanford Mullen Jr. (Wendy) of Louisville, KY, Jerrold Mullen of Santa Ana, CA; three granddaughters, Je’mema Mullen, Kazia Mullen, Juanita Jones; one grandson, Matthew Mullen (LaResa); three great grandchildren, Yasmine Mullen, Nina Nguyen, Carter Mullen, and host of other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
