Born on Friday, March 21, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky Vicki was the daughter of the late Steve Singleton & Virginia Canupp. She loved bingo & traveling to Florida, especially Clearwater. She enjoyed her friendship with Angie & Joyce, and could often be found talking to them on the phone for hours. She helped to run and maintain a furniture store for many years at 15th & Market St., where she went to auctions, helped make deliveries & was vital to the daily operations of the store. Vicki loved her family & friends dearly & was a devoted wife, mom & grandma. She lived a full life – a life well lived!
Her parents, Steve & Virginia Singleton; husband, Johnny Higgs; & great – grandson, Erik Perez, precede Vicki in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Virginia Higgs, Felicia (Roger) Pugh & Angela (Jenni) Guerrero; significant other, Raul Guerrero; grandchildren, Chelsea Miller, Cortney Miller, Arissa Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Roger Pugh & Christopher Pugh; great – grandchildren, Adrian Perez & Ta’Nyah McKellery; brother, Phillip Singleton; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Memorial contributions can be directed to the Brown Cancer Center.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Vicki will be laid to rest in the Garden of Christus of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 2:30 – 8:00 p.m. and then again on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour of 2:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
