Today has been 3 years Sister and it still seems like yesterday. I miss you and mom and Johnny so very much.  I still see your face, your smile and remember just sitting with you watching TV or singing songs you would sing. I love you sister and miss you everyday. ❤️❤️🦋🦋

My goodness Sister how I miss you both everyday!😢This is such a good picture of you and Mummy. Tony and I talk about you both often and think about all the memories we built with you and mom. Sometimes things were hard, but we got through them and we had good times and Tony and I cherish the beautiful memories that we made with you both when you were with us. We miss you so much, just like missing mom, some days we are full of heartbreak and pain of missing you both. Other days we have happy happy tears, full of MANY great memories. Memories of us four going places and just enjoying our time out together doing whatever. Our lives are so different not having you both with us. We still find ourself trying to stay quite around the house so we don't disturb your sleep or walking over to your room to look in on you. It doesn't feel right leaving the house to go places or be outside any longer than 15 minutes, because we always checked on you so often. We love and miss you and mom, we love and miss Johnny and Natalie as well. You all will NEVER be forgotten, we will go each day here given by the good Lord above, holding you in our hearts and in our memories. ❤️❤️

Our hearts are rejoicing you are with Jesus the most amazing place ever to be, no more pain , no more hurt, no more sickness we will see. Your journey here on earth was full of  different seasons, we don't understand, have no clue why, rhyme or reasons. I wish I had a photo on hand of one of the many that we have from going to Tennessee.. You always made sure to include us and take us to do things, new places… Even just have us over sometimes like a grandparent does.. I think about you often, especially when I hear a Cyndi Lauper song, or any old song you used to karaoke too. Lol you’re so missed nana. For many years now, but I now know and feel that you’re truly at peace and yourself again. You were made new in Gods beautiful Kingdom & I know you were all so happy to be reunited!!! She was born April 26, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert and JoAnn Simmons.


She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Rodgers; brother, John Simmons; and her great-grandchild, Brennin Royse.


Vickie is survived by her son, James Bryan Rodgers; grandchildren, Kayla, Chelsey, Jacob, and Dalton; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Debra Gammons, Cindy Lieras, Joni Vozzo(Tony), and Jennifer Simmons; brother, Robert "Bo" Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
