

He was born January 12, 1937 in Louisville, son of the lateVirgil and Virginia Elmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jackie D. Elmore.
He was a retired machinist for Tube Turns where he was employed 38years. He was a member of Saint Frances of Rome Catholic Church, a 50 year member of Boaz Masonic Home Lodge 850, Harmony Chapter 273 O.E.S., and Scottish Rite
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Mary Elmore; daughter; Marie Elmore, granddaughter; Venesa Hill, foster daughter; Carolyn Bogaert, and her four children. His sister; Veda Glass (Don), Veronica Woodruff , brothers; Vincent “Butch” (Donnetta), Virgil “Skip” (Tammy), Verlin (Beatrice) Elmore, and sister-in-law; Patricia Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne Street. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 – 8 PM on Wednesday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue. There will be a Eastern Star service at 6:30 PM, and a Masonic service at 7:00 PM, Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
