Viola Elizabeth Adamson, 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 10, 2011 at Bashford East Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was the former Viola Homeister, a homemaker and a retired nurses aide for Audubon Hospital. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Viola loved to sew and collect porcelain dolls.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Buford Adamson, Sr., and her parents, John and Mary E. Young Homeister.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Buford (Evelyn) Adamson Jr., Myra Crews, Donna (Bob) Johnson and Donald Adamson; brother, Norman (Shirley) Homeister; sisters, Mary Huber and Rose Pendleton; grandchildren, Tamera, Maria, Jeffrey, Christopher, Amy, John Adam, Bobby, Julia, and Jennifer, along with four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zackary, Kyleigh and Chase.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, Louisville, KY, 40220, with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
