

Vonda Karen Booth passed on July 22, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 21, 1948, in Russellville, Alabama. Vonda was a resident of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Her passing has left an immeasurable void, and she will be deeply missed; her memory will continue on in all her family and friends.
Throughout her working life, Vonda served others with steadiness and pride. She worked as a surgical technician at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, drove a school bus for Southwest Christian School, and worked as a security guard at Churchill Downs. In each role, she brought a dependable presence and a caring spirit that reflected the way she lived.
Vonda found her greatest happiness in time spent with family—playing cards and board games with her children and grandchildren, listening to family sing and play music, and singing in church. She especially loved simply sitting and talking with family, as well as keeping close through long conversations on the phone with her closet friends. Known as a loving and caring person who always had a smile on her face, Vonda truly enjoyed life and shared that joy freely with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leburn F. and Virginia A. Robinson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 Years, Roger W. Booth; her children, Ritchie Booth (Lynn) and Karen Gray (John); grandchildren, Tiffany Aubrey (Aaron), Jennifer Correa (Jeremy), Chelsea Booth (William Johnston), Isaac Gray, Logan Gray, Tanner Booth; and great grandson, Robert Aubrey.
Cremation was chosen. Arrangements were under the care of Advantage Heady-Taylor. A celebration of life will take place at a later date to be announced.
