Born on August 4, 1934, in Harlan, Kentucky, Wallace was a man of integrity and warmth, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.
After a fulfilling career spanning four decades at GE Appliance, Wallace retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. His commitment to his community was evident through his active involvement with Highview Baptist Church in Louisville and Southside Baptist Church in Princeton. A proud veteran, he served his country with honor and respect.
Wallace's love for the outdoors was unmistakable. He was an avid fisherman, always eager to share stories of his latest catch, whether it was bass or crappie. He was a one time Sportsman of the Year which he was very proud of. His passion for the UK Wildcats was infectious, and game days were always a special occasion in the Helton household.
He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Hazel Helton; sisters, Sybil Rose, Jackie Neff, and Freda Witt. Wallace's loving spirit lives on through his devoted wife of 64 years, Martha, and his sons, Greg and Steve, who will continue to honor his legacy of love and friendship. Wallace Helton will be deeply missed, yet his memory will forever be a beacon of joy and kindness.
