Wallis Ann Walker

She graduated from Louisville Central High School and Red Cross Hospital where she acquired her LPN license, she worked as a nurse retiring from Audubon Hospital after 35 years of service. She took her place in Heaven on March 21, 2021.

She was a descendant of one of the charter families which is one of the oldest families that helped to lay the foundation for Emmanuel Baptist Church. She served on the Nurses Guild and was a faithful member until God called her home.

She joined union with William W. Walker in June of 1994, who proceeded her in death and also a sister, Gwendolynn Louise Irby and brother, Henry C. Logan, III. She leaves to cherish her memory Wanda M. Babb (daughter), LaShelle R. Johnson (daughter) and Darryl V. Lucas (son) stepchildren include William Walker Jr. (Dorothy), Vaughn Walker Sr. (Chantel), Teresa Walker Towns (Duck), Myra Trotter, Ronald Walker Sr. (Erika), sons and daughters of in-laws in Virginia, William Walker, Jr (Dorothy), Anna Mae Williams, Bessie Pilgrim, Gladys Jordon, Jiggets Meredeith and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3815 West Broadway; Louisville, Kentucky 40211. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 p.m. also at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Apostles, Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums.

Per the Governors Mandate and the CDC, attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
