Buckner Jr., Walter “Jake”, 59, entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2017. Jake was a loving and caring man who never met a stranger. He cherished the time he spent with his family and enjoyed cooking for them. He was best known for his BBQ and fried chicken. Jake worked at KT Switching for 5 years. He was also an avid UofL fan. GO CARDS!
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Dante White.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 8 years, Kim; children, Malik Bailey, Brittany Bodenreider (Dakota), and Bradley Humphrey; sisters, Ronda Fuqua, Frenetta Holeman (Ronald), Lisa Buckner and Diane Blakeman; several nieces and nephews; a host of other family members and friends; and his stink-butt stinky, Jazlynn Hardin.
A Funeral Service will be on Friday, April 21, at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
