Wanda and family moved to Louisville as a young girl where she attended Durrett High School. Wanda worked many years in the food service industry in many roles; however, was forced to retire from the workforce in 1983 after 3 cervical spine surgeries. Wanda's generosity knew no bounds; she helped many in need providing anything from a meal to a place to stay becoming a guiding and consistent force in the lives of many as well as donated to numerous charities. Above all, Wanda cherished her family and will leave a gaping hole that can never be filled. Wherever she went she would share stories of her grandchildren and proudly wore the title of great, great grandmother to two sweet little boys. Her profound absence will be felt for many years to come.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents Ivory Shreve and Maggie Davenport, Husbands Jack Harris and Emerson Winstead, daughter and grandson Donna and Sean Miller, sister Gladys Porter, and brother Donald Davenport. She is survived by her daughters Carla Johnson and Stacey Harris (Cindy), Grandchildren: Shrevia Allen, Tabatha Richardson (Scotty), Stacey Miller-Grooms, Amber Squires, Sheridan Hamilton, Jack Hoskins-Harris, and Jude Hoskins-Harris.
