Warren S., returned to his heavenly father Monday, September 24, 2012 at Christopher East Healthcare Center.
He was born March 26, 1918 in Louisville, to the late Harry M. and Bessie V. Bromfield Vaughn. Warren served our country in the U.S. Navy, retired after 45 years of employment at Schumtz Manufacturing, was a charter member of St. Andrew UCC and the Swinging Y Square Dance Club. What he was most known for was being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Daughter, Patricia Ann Clark; and sisters, Helen Hitchner, Alverda Romine; and brother, Richard Vaughn precedes him in death.
Along with his wife of 74 years, Alice; left to carry on his memory are children, Virginia Neat (Donald) of Louisville, and Victor N. Vaughn (Terry) of Tacoma, WA; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
A service for Warren will be noon Saturday at St. Andrew UCC, 2608 Browns Ln. Visitation will be at 10 am prior to the service at church and Friday 2-8 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
