Wayne was the most humble minister I have ever known. It was a privilege to have known him and to have served with him in ministry. The blessing was ours..... our love to Ida Mae!

I have a Christmas card on my wall from Wayne with this handwritten note:
Jack, sure would like to sit with you some appropriate place and listen to your homegrown stories.
Sometime while you are in the fellowship hall, before Bible school, go by the table where Peggy McCord and Betty Watkins sit. Tell them I said “hello” and that I would give them a big hug if I was there. I sure do miss you guys.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you, Jack. Our friendship goes back many years. I will always remember you and your family.
Wayne and Ida
What else could I say about my friend?
I miss you, Wayne.

The photo of Wayne brought to mind the pleasant remembrances of our time with him while at MCCC. He always demonstrated his trust in God. A man whose heart never departed from the Lord. Our prayers to all of the family.

Such a great man of God whose life was such a beautiful example for anyone desiring a closer walk with God. I loved his personal counsel and guidance during his service at the Mount Carmel Christian Church in Georgia. When we all get together again, what a day of rejoicing it will be.
