Willa was born to Padgett and Helen Carr, and both have preceded her in death.
She was the seventh of seven children, and is survived by her sister, Pollyanna (Arthur) of Los Angeles, California.
Willa was a woman of faith. She was a member of Watson Memorial Baptist Church for 20 years. Throughout her later years, she joined Spirit Anew Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Charles Young.
Willa united in marriage to Ronald Green of Louisville Kentucky, on November 16, 1957; their marriage of 58 years, 7 months, and 10 days remained intact until her demise.
Their union was blessed with four children: Derek Andre of Lugoff, South Carolina; Margaretta Denise of Clarksville, Tennessee; Rhonda Lorain, of Louisville, Kentucky and a son which died prior to birth.
Left behind to cherish memories of Willa are her three children, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Green is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as loyal friends.
Throughout life she was a prolific musician (vocal and piano), poetess, organizer and decorator. After her graduation at Alcoa High School, she continued her academic studies at Santa Monica College and Sullivan College.
She was loved and will be missed by many.
Now she rests, in peace, in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Arrangements under the direction of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, Louisville, KY.
