Born in Louisville Kentucky, He was the son of Lester Pate and Ella Mae Pate. He enjoyed retirement and spending time working in his workshop.
He is survived by his wife Rose Pate, two sons William Lee Pate, Carl Wayne Pate, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two nephews Roy Pate, and Dean Pate.
The funeral services will be held on Friday 10/13/23, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. Followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
