OBITUARY
William Paul Allen
August 19, 1952 – January 23, 2011
ALLEN, WILLIAM PAUL "STINGRAY," 58, of Louisville passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Jewish Hospital.
He was a truck driver for 30 years and a dispatcher for 21 years for River Metals. Bill was a member of Victory Baptist, Masonic Shively Lodge #951 F. & A.M., Rifle Men's Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert S. and Anna L. "Lucy" Allen; and two half brothers.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Golden Allen; children, Chrissy Allen, Billie Smith, Brittany Golden, Scott Golden, William Golden, Cindy Gunter and Angela Allen; sisters, Jane Goodman and Tonya Hagan; half brothers, Gary and Robert Allen, both of Georgia; 10 grandchildren; and five nieces.
Bill was a very loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle.
There will be a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy., with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens - West. Visitation to the public will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Deanna, We know that words are inadequate at a time like this, but we want you to know how deeply sorry we are for the loss of Bill, our "friend and neighbor". The loss is a tragic event but give thanks for the wonderful life that he lived and the memories of him to hold in your heart. Bill could always "make us laugh"! ;-) He will truly be missed.
