William R. Andriot, 72, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 following an extended illness.

He was retired Senior Chief Petty Officer with the US Navy having served 2 tours in Vietnam, and later held positions in the nuclear power industry. He was a former volunteer for Harbor House and a lifetime member of the NRA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Thecla Andriot, and granddaughters Jenna and Mackenzie Ellis.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Windhorst Andriot; daughters April Ellis (Scott) and Brittany Chapman (Tim); sisters Marilyn Clark and Doris Stetter (Ike); and granddaughters Mackenna and Maya Ellis.

His funeral service will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday.

BILLY,JOANN NORRIS AND I WERE IN THE FIRST CLASS AT THE NEW ST ANN.@'48 WE WENT ALL THROUGH THE EIGHT GRADES TO GETHER AND WE WERE FRIENDS. ALL MY GRADE SCHOLL PIX ,BILLY IS IN THEM. I CALLED JOANN WHO IS IN TEXAS AND WE REMEMBER THOSE DAYS OF THE FORTIES AND MOST OF THE FIFTIES. BILLY WAS A CUTE NEAT LITTLE BOY. I REMEMBER THE OLDER GIRLS. THE FAMILY MARCHING IN TO MASS.
