William "Bill" Thomas Gerkins

William "Bill" T. Gerkins, 87, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022. He was born in Louisville on November 29, 1934. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He also retired from Kroger, where he was a Produce Manager. His wife Joyce Gerkins, preceded Bill in death. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tammy Hoskinson(Aaron), two sisters, one brother, a special lady in his life, Cheryl Poole, and a host of many other family members and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Bee Hive for taking such great care of Bill. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home-Okolona. A celebration of life will be held Thursday at 11am with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
