

Assignments came early and he was to be an associate pastor at St. Anne’s from 1949 to 1958. Soon in 1960 he was pastor at Holy Family until 1966-1968 as pastor. His Louisville days were over for now.
Arriving in Danville, KY he was to be pastor at St. Peter and Paul from 1969 to 1979. He was a chaplain to the Knights of Columbus and found this lovely blue grass area one of contentment and a fruitful field for the growing catholic community.
Returning to Louisville, he was the pastor at St. Theresa’s. Father had many interests to keep him happy, days at Camp Tall Trees where he became famous for his ghost stories; a famous story was “Falling Rock’, bowling and power walking ere among his favorite activities. Father resided at St. Joseph’s Home where he conducted daily morning mass. He is survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11am, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40222 with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Guests are invited to attend a visitation Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.and from 9:30am until service time Thursday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
