Ron served his country with courage during six years in the United States Navy. In the years that followed, his steady strength continued through a career that included work with Abbott Laboratories, and a life shaped by the many places he traveled along the way. To those who knew him best, Ron was deeply beloved—a man whose brave heart was matched by a gentle spirit. He could be “grumpy” at times, yet those closest to him knew the truth: beneath it all was a huge softie, devoted to the people he loved most. His affection shone brightest with his grandkids and great-grandkids, and he took great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including time on the golf course and cheering on the UK Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals as a proud and faithful fan.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, William M. Brown and Edith Brown; and his sister, Vicki Wisdom.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Nancy Brown; his sister, Sandra Cox; his son, Mitch Brown (Wendi); his grandchildren, Desiree, Becca, Courtnee, Katelynn, Natalee, Kaleb; his great-grandchildren, Gracie and Kai; his blue eyed fur baby, Skye; as well as many beloved family members and friends.
