William “Billy” Caviness, 72 of Louisville passed away January 1, 2014. He was a Special Olympics Athlete and loved playing softball, basketball, and bowling. He had a special love for tournament road trips on the bus. He also loved his bus ride to the YMCA Adult Day Program. He was an avid Reds Fan.
He is survived by his sisters, Kayse Paul (Ray), Anna Baker (Ben), Barbara Smallwood, Charlene Smallwood (Gary); brother, Neal Caviness (Valerie); 6 nieces and nephews, David, Michelle, Mark, Eric, Jessica, and Stephanie; 11 great nieces and nephews; aunt, Sue Board, uncle; Gus Goskeson; and many cousins.
His funeral service will be held 4 pm on Sunday at the Heady-Hardy funeral home, 7710 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 to 4pm on Sunday. Burial will take place 11am Monday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
