

William “Bill” Franklin Connor Sr., passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at age of 91. Born on August 24, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bill lived a life marked by devotion to his family, a passion for community service, and an enduring love for University of Kentucky basketball… GO CATS!!!!
Bill's journey began as the beloved son of Robert Theodore Connor Sr. and Corine Elizabeth Connor. Though he was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Betty Jean, Robert Theodore Jr., and James Douglas, the legacy they instilled in him carried forward in the values he passed down to his own family.
Bill was known by many as Uncle Nutsy and was a true family man at heart. He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Faye Connor. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Bill was a guiding light and source of strength for his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Connor, and his son, William "Chip" Franklin Connor Jr. (Sarah). His wisdom and humor will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren, William Tate Connor, Reilly Cort Connor, and Faith Isabella Raine Connor, who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Bill's professional life was marked by his role as a Kentucky Colonel, a title that reflected his commitment to his home state and its people. His work history was characterized by integrity and a strong work ethic, traits that he also instilled in his children and grandchildren. His involvement in associations within his community demonstrated his belief in service and his desire to contribute positively to the world around him. Bill found his identity in Jesus Christ his Lord and salvation.
An avid fan of University of Kentucky basketball, Bill rarely missed a game. His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious, and it often served as a catalyst for family gatherings and spirited conversations. Whether cheering from the stands or the comfort of his home, he remained a loyal supporter through every season.
Bill's belief that family is paramount was evident in every aspect of his life. He nurtured a home where love, laughter, and mutual support were abundant. His legacy is one of compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
As we bid farewell to William “Bill” Franklin Connor Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a family well-loved, and a man who truly made a difference in the lives of those he touched. His spirit will forever be a beacon of light for his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A visitation for Bill will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 11AM to 2PM. A brief funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2PM. William will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
