May God bless the family of my cousin, "Jon" Grider always.

I just returned from being out of town and learned of the sad death of Jon. He was such a vibrant and wonderful man and my deepest sympathy to the family.  Jesse, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  God bless his memory.

Jon and I were best friends growing up. He was like a brother to me, and I always looked up to him. That's probably why I reached out to him out of the blue about 3 years ago when I lost my wife to cancer, even though we hadn't seen each other in almost 30 years.

We met for lunch for about an hour and reminisced about everything we had done together from the age of 10 or 11 to the age of 22 or 23. Dirt bikes, BB guns, firecrackers, girls, middle school, high school and some college years together.

I was hurting and he knew it. His genuine compassion and friendship in just that one hour helped me to get back on the horse, plain and simple.

My deepest condolences go out to his parents, family and those that were close to him. We all know he was a good soul, and he will be close to the gate when each of us arrives there.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Jon. He was my attorney for many yrs. Jon was first hired for me as a young teenager because I wanted to be emancipated from my mom. Well once Jon meet my mom he wouldn't do it lol. He got my mother and I to work things out. What a good man and attorney he was. Jon will be truly missed. May God bless you all and be with you.

Jon was one of my good friends back at Ballard.  He was genuine, kind and we had some fun times playing guitar together.  When I heard of his passing, it shook me to my core.  To all his family, may God give you strength to deal with this sudden lost of a wonderful man.
