William “Billy” Miller Hickman was born in Bardstown, KY on October 3, 1937 to Willie Lee Hickman and Mary Elizabeth (Crowe) Hickman. He passed to eternal rest on February 2, 2019 in Louisville KY at the age of 81. Billy was baptized as an infant at St Monica Catholic Church in Bardstown, KY. He graduated from Bardstown Training High School in 1958. He enlisted in the US Army where he served for 6 years and was honorably discharged. While in the service, he married Marian Anita Owens on August 19, 1961. To this union, four children were born; William Miller Jr (Maria), Dianne Elizabeth, George Bryon (Michelle) and Anita Lynn. Billy married Hazel Goodgine on September 4, 1982. Billy welcomed, accepted and considered her children as his own – Jeffrey Dale, J Parker (Jane), David Allen (Pam)and Kerrick Ross. Billy and Hazel were dedicated to family and spent many days with kids, grandkids and extended family at the lake property known as “The Hickman Hideaway”. They were affectionately known as ‘G-Ma’ and ‘G-Pa’. Billy’s career was with Ford Motor Co where he worked for 30 years until his retirement. Billy cared for Hazel until her passing on Dec 22, 2011. Billy was preceded in death by his wife Hazel, his parents Willie Lee and Mary Elizabeth, his brother Marion Lee, his sister Barbara Ann and his grandson Corey. Billy is survived by the 8 children: Bill, Dianne, Bryon, Lynn, Jeff, Parker, David and Kerrick; his sisters, Mary Cecilia (Jack) of Michigan, Regina (Theodore) of Louisville, and brother, Morris (Mary) of Bloomington, IN; 12 grandchildren: William III, Marcus, Marsell, Jessica, Brandon, Devon, Scott, Becky, Shawn, Rachel, Levi and Dakota; and 14 great grandchildren. Billy also loved and cared deeply for his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and held a very special place in his heart for Nikki Larkin. Words cannot express how much we will miss our Brother, Dad, G-Pa, Uncle and Friend!

Biography

William “Billy” Miller Hickman was born in Bardstown, KY on October 3, 1937 to Willie Lee Hickman and Mary Elizabeth (Crowe) Hickman. He passed to eternal rest on February 2, 2019 in Louisville KY at the age of 81.
Billy was baptized as an infant at St Monica Catholic Church in Bardstown, KY. He graduated from Bardstown Training High School in 1958. He enlisted in the US Army where he served for 6 years and was honorably discharged.
