Prior to retiring, Bill worked at the Louisville Zoo. Many people knew him by his nickname “Hillbilly.” He enjoyed watching UK basketball games and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife: Elizabeth Libby Hill and his sister: Temple Elliott.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Anne Boling (Ronnie) and Bryan Cox (Hannah); his grandchildren: Justin Boling (Stephanie), Kayla Boling, Bryan Cox, and Sonny Lyons-Cox; his great-grandchildren: Aimee Boling, Anora Boling, Leelen Dunn, and Willow Boling.
Visitation will be 11-2 PM Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Arch L Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218. A service to honor Bill will follow visitation beginning at 2 PM at the funeral home.
