William Wallace Johnson Jr.

Johnson, Dr. William “Buddy” W. Jr., 76 passed away September 16, 2016. Buddy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was also the founder and owner of Johnson Animal Clinic where he worked as a veterinarian for 30 years. Buddy had been a faithful member of Ascension Catholic Church. He had a love for golfing and was an avid UK fan. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Genevieve Johnson and sister Penny Lamb. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children Darlene Thornberry (Steve), Cathy Badgett (Jamie) and Brad Johnson (Mary Anne), former wife Bernadette Johnson, grandchildren Chad and Michelle Thornberry, Caylen Knight (Brandon), Madelyn and Jackson Badgett and Sara and Geoffrey Rogers and six great grandchildren. Buddy is also survived by his sister Judy Landherr, nieces Michelle Shetler and Lisa Patton and nephews Ron Knust and Charlie Landherr. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10am at Ascension Catholic Church 4600 Lynnbrook Dr. with a private entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Rd. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Louisville Humane Society or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
