Bill was born on August 26,1946. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Linda May; two daughters, Tracey May (Ann) and Michelle Conely (Eric); and his three grandchildren, McKenna, Maycie, and Luke, who lovingly called him “Pepaw.” He is also survived by his brother Jerry May (Karen) and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Lorene May and Claude William May, his brother JT and sisters Mary and Margaret.
Bill was grateful for the mercy and grace the Lord showed him over the past eight years and was ready to meet Jesus. He faithfully watched ministry programs and enjoyed gospel music every day, finding great comfort and joy in his faith. Known for his dry — and sometimes delightfully awkward — sense of humor, Bill kept his family laughing.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven at 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Friday, October 24th from 3:00–8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place the following day in the funeral homes chapel at 10:00am on Saturday, October 25th. Bill will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
