William Guy McDowell III, 72, of Nicholasville, passed away December 29, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on December 11, 1943 in Lexington to the late William Guy McDowell Sr. and Dorothy Ethington McDowell. He was a Master Plumber and also taught at Southside Vocational School. He was a Veteran in the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia McDowell.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Mitchell (Mark), William Guy McDowell IV (Stacy), Stanley D. McDowell (Tracy); grandchildren, Christine, Austin, Brandy, Jacob, Destin, Savannah, Abby, Nathan, Andy, Isabella, Alexis and Travis; a brother, Robert McDowell; and a niece, Dottie Walters.
The family wishes to celebrate his life privately. Arrangements under the direction of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven in Louisville.
