William “Sonny” Clarence Olson, 74, of Louisville passed away on Sunday December 11, 2022. He was born on January 28, 1948 in Frankfort, KY to the late William E. and Shirley (Warfield) Olson. Sonny was a retired baker for the old Mother’s Cookies and a long time member of Southeast Christian Church (South Louisville Campus). In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Bowles, and a brother, John David Olson. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years the former Patricia Erwin Olson; devoted sisters, Peggy Smith (Charles), Janie Whitener (Randy), and Brenda Hatcher (Tom); a brother in-law, John Bowles; nieces, Amanda Whitenack and Alyssa Yuen; nephews, Tony D. Brooks and Scott Whitener; and many extended friends and church family. Funeral services for Mr. Olson will be held at 11 am on Wednesday December 21, 2022 in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 20, 2022 from 3-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to his church.
