He retired from Republic Diesel after working 33 years as a welder.
He was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and foraging from the time he was a child. He was a lifetime member of Knob Creek Gun Range. He was a former member and president of the Waverly Archers Club.
He is survived by his daughter Gina Hueston (Steve), brother Howard Pace, sister Rita Rice, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Jonathan R. Pace, stepson Mark A. Cox, sister Myrtle Johnson, and sister Zola Radar.

A visitation in William's honor will be held on Sunday February 5, 2023 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 from 2PM to 7PM. Monday February 6, 2023 a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12PM.
