Stevens, William “Bill”, 89, entered into eternal rest on April 5, 2015. Bill was a funny and friendly man who enjoyed walking, building models, collecting trains, and watching NASCAR. He proudly served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division during WWII and was a Tool and Die Maker for GE for 30 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sharon Jones, Karen Brown (Johnny), Christine Cabe (Bill), Cynthia G. Henry, Greg Stevens (Sheri), and Doug Stevens (Bernice); grandchildren, Chuck Jones (Peggy), Laura Anderson, Steven Jones, Lee Henry, N. Isaac Slaughter, and Bradley Dale Stevens (Jessica); 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery.
