

Wilma Horn Crowdus, 77, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Jefferson Manor in Louisville. She was born on July 21, 1940 in Louisville to William Lawrence Horn and Elizabeth Louise Horn. Wilma attended high school at duPont Manual where she cheered, belonged to X- Lethean Sorority, was homecoming queen and met her soul-mate, Larry Crowdus. Once graduating from high school, Wilma and Larry married. The two recently celebrated 59 years of marriage together. Wilma served 35 years at the phone company and retired as a service manager. Wilma was a supporter of the University of Louisville and, if they were not playing each other, the University of Kentucky. Wilma enjoyed life to the fullest with friends from high school, sisters, family, and mostly her grandchildren. Wilma and Larry had many adventures and traditions with their grandchildren.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Robin Jeanette of Louisville and Holly Tucker (Jim) of Cox’s Creek; granddaughters, Erin Jewell (Derik), Lindsey Herald (Justin), and Chelsea Tucker (Joey Spalding); grandson, Jacob R. Jeanette; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Wilma is preceded in passing by her husband, parents, step-father, and 1 sister.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville. The family will receive friends from 3 PM until the service time that evening.
In lieu of customary expressions the family requests donations be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
