I had the great pleasure of having Zac in a couple of Theology classes at St. Francis DeSales H.S. I was his teacher but I often learned from my students as much as I taught; he was one of those students! I also was his Jr and Sr Retreat Director (and he came back as a graduate to volunteer as a retreat leader after graduation). I have such positive memories of Zac. I always felt his gentle nature, genuine concern for God's people and the world around him. His smile was infectious too. I am saddened by his loss. I pray he is at peace. I pray for all who he leaves behind that God embraces you with love, protection, peace, and grace. I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and yours.

Barnes Family,

I am a friend of Cheryl Esters (through Shively Baptist Church) and she asked me to pray for your family. I work at Phillips Parker Orberson & Arnett (used to be Moore) and I believe that Mandy worked with us several years ago when she was in college. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Zac. I pray that our Heavenly Father will hold you close in His loving arms through these difficult times, and will give you His peace which passes all understanding. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

We knew Zac from the Karate school. He was always so cheerful and kind. Words cannot express how sad my son and I am for all of you. Special thoughts are with Meagan and the baby especially.

So sorry for you loss. Throughout adolescence, Zac was a true and loyal friend and I'll never forget the countless memories of our times together. From the lunchroom conversations to the numerous sleep-overs, he will always hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family.
