Downey, Zella Fritze was born on April 10, 1927 in Louisville, Ky. She was an employee at Bremner Biscuit Co. Zella was preceded in death by her mother; Thelma Crutchfield Fritze and daughter; Belinda Downey Leeper. She is survived by her son; Harry Downey, daughter; Bridgett Downey, granddaughters; Jasmine Kendall, Tiffany Vaughn, and Melissa Vaughn Beyer, great-granddaughters; Erica Beyer, Amber Beyer, and Haliegh Tudor, family associates; Leo Fritze, Bertha Fritze (Leo), Pauline Vincent (Rex), Freda Seipps (Harry), Ruby Edwards (Doug), Mildred Downey, Josephine Downey (Belice), Sterling Belie Downey Jr., Dr. Robert Edwards, Michele Langley (Bob), and Mark Edwards. Services to honor the life of Zella will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home at Noon Saturday with visitation on Friday from 2-8pm.
