Alden Ray Foote

Alden Ray Foote, 37, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born April 20, 1989, Alden was a husband, a loving father to his two daughters, a brother, a friend, and a firefighter and paramedic who dedicated more than 16 years of his life to serving others.

Alden met his wife, Amanda, the summer before their senior year of high school. What began as two teenagers falling in love became a beautiful life they built together. They married in 2012 and celebrated 20 years together this summer. They grew up together, built a family, and walked through every season of life side by side.

His daughters knew Daddy as the person to wrestle and roughhouse with and, just as importantly, the person they could always come to for snuggles. Seeing Daddy come home after a long shift at the firehouse was one of the best parts of their week.

Alden began his career as an EMT with Northglenn Ambulance before attending fire academy with South Adams County Fire Department in 2012. He proudly served on A-shift alongside firefighters who would become friends for life and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2017. His years at South Adams included responding to the Marshall Fire in 2021.

In 2023, Alden joined Greeley Fire Department, where he went through paramedic school, and became a fire medic. He proudly served on B-shift and joined another fire family, making great new friends.

Alden was funny, sarcastic, hard headed, fiercely loyal, and protective of the people he loved. If he liked you, there was a good chance he was going to give you a hard time, and an even better chance he would be there without hesitation when you needed him. He consistently put others before himself and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether to someone he loved or someone he had never met.

Outside of the firehouse, Alden loved hunting and fishing, cheering on (or screaming at) the Denver Broncos and USC Trojans, wings and a cold beer, listening to Taylor Swift, and playing with Bolt, the tiny four-legged love of his life, who held a particularly special place in Alden’s heart.

Alden leaves behind his wife of 14 years and partner of 20, Amanda; his daughters, Alyssa and Addison; his brothers, Deryk and Ryan; and the many friends and brothers and sisters in the fire service whose lives were made better simply by having known him.

His loss will also be deeply felt throughout the first responder community he spent more than 16 years serving alongside.

Alden is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him.
