Those who knew Audrey knew her as highly intelligent, witty, and capable. She possessed a sharp sense of humor and enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends. Audrey attended Front Range Community College, the University of Denver, and Regis University. She worked for VeloDyne in Louisville and studied criminology and accounting in college. Criminology remained a lifelong interest, and she always hoped to work in a field connected to that passion.
Audrey spent several years working as a nanny abroad, living on New Zealand’s North Island for three years and in Sydney, Australia, for an additional year. She loved scuba diving and enjoyed traveling throughout the world. One of her favorite destinations was Cozumel, Mexico, where she and her mother shared a love of the tropical reef walls and drift diving the area is known for. Though she traveled extensively, she was always happy to return home.
Audrey was also an accomplished horsewoman who earned numerous ribbons and trophies throughout her equestrian career. She competed in Western Pleasure and Equitation at the Denver Stock Show, as well as at shows across several states, and won many of the classes she entered. Audrey began riding at the age of four at Blue Cloud Farms in Gunbarrel, and her mother, Tina, always loved watching her compete. Horses remained one of her greatest passions throughout her life.
When she was not at the barn, Audrey could often be found reading a true crime novel. If asked for an opinion, she was always prepared to support it with knowledge and conviction. If ever someone could be described as both whip-smart and funny, it was Audrey.
Audrey is survived by her mother Tina and sister Lexie Torelli, her grandparents Judlyn and Barry Maupin, her stepfather Enzo Torelli, her aunt Judlyn and uncle Richard Carlisle, her aunt Holli Safron, and her cousins Veronica, David, and Sabrina Safron.
Audrey passed away on June 3, 2026, at the age of 41. She will be forever missed by her friends and family.
